The Alan Parsons Project's 1977 album I Robot is re-issued as a standalone region-free blu-ray audio.
It is the same as the blu-ray in the recent box set and contains Dolby Atmos, 5.1 surround sound mixes by Alan Parsons, and a hi-res (96/24) stereo remaster by Miles Showell.
The I Robot album draws conceptually on author Isaac Asimov’s science fiction Robot stories, exploring philosophical themes regarding artificial intelligence.
Like other Alan Parsons Project albums, there were a variety of different lead vocalists employed including Steve Harley, Allan Clarke, Lenny Zakatek, Peter Straker, Jack Harris and Jaki Whitren. Plus, a selection of session musicians such as guitarist Ian Bairnson and drummer Stuart Tosh with arrangements by Andrew Powell.
The album was a worldwide hit selling in excess of two million copies, achieving platinum and gold status in numerous countries including the USA, Germany, Australia and Canada.
